Spanish news in levels: A1, A2, B1 and the original

Every story on The Easy Spanish News is published at four reading levels. Start where you can follow the meaning without stopping, and move up when a level starts to feel easy — the story stays the same, so you can reread the harder version and see exactly what changed.

Which level should you read?

A1 — Beginner Spanish

Real Spanish news as short A1 briefs: about 300 words, present tense, and the most common Spanish words. A new story every day, with audio and word lookup.

A2 — Elementary Spanish

Real Spanish news as A2 briefs: about 500 words with context and reactions, everyday vocabulary, past and future tenses. Practise reading at elementary level.

B1 — Intermediate Spanish

Intermediate Spanish reading practice with real news at B1: natural sentence structure, full context, and authentic vocabulary. Compare against the original Spanish.

B2–C1 — Original Spanish

The article as it was published, for when the B1 version stops feeling like work. Every article links to its original source.
